Felicia Smith is a Certified Leadership and Life Coach and founder of SOAR Coaching LLC.
Felicia believes every woman of color must undergo a self-discovery process before seeking
leadership. It is easy to become someone else when you are not grounded in who you are. She
also believes that being authentic and grounded makes women stand out from other leaders and
is what most executives often seek.
Felicia has worked for the Department of Defense for 14+ years and has held numerous
positions, including Senior Manpower Advisor, Staff Director, Senior Risk Manager, and
Deputy Office Chief. She has also served on the board of the Northern Virginia Delta Education
and Community Service (N.V.D.E.C.S.) Foundation.
Felicia is a member of the International Coaching Federation (I.C.F.), the Project Management
Institute (PMI), the American Society of Military Comptrollers (A.S.M.C.), and Delta Sigma
Theta Incorporated.
Felicia holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Tuskegee University and a Master of
Science in Government Information Leadership from the National Defense University, and a
Master of Science degree in Strategic Intelligence.
Felicia’s greatest joy is spending time with her family. She is the wife of Mark Smith, the mother
of Jeremiah-Mark Smith, and the bonus mom of Adia Smith.
